Chat with us on WhatsAppThe route, honestly explained
There is no airport in Mui Ne: everyone arrives by road, most commonly the 220 km from Ho Chi Minh City or Tan Son Nhat Airport. The sleeper buses are cheap and famously chaotic; the private-car alternative is door to door in 4–5 hours with your own seats, your own stops and no resort-strip drop-off scrum. From the north, Cam Ranh Airport (CXR) is a similar drive via the coast.
Routes and journey times
| Route | Typical time | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Saigon (District 1) → Mui Ne resorts | 4–5 h | Door to door via the Long Thanh–Dau Giay expressway |
| SGN Airport → Mui Ne direct | 4–5 h | Land and go — no city detour |
| Mui Ne → Saigon / SGN return | 4–5 h | Timed to your flight with honest margin |
| Cam Ranh (CXR) → Mui Ne | ~3 h | The coastal route from the north |
| Mui Ne → Da Lat | ~4 h | Dunes to pines in an afternoon |
Local knowledge
Mui Ne is two resorts towns in one — kitesurf-energetic at one end, sleepy fishing-village at the other — bracketed by the red and white sand dunes. Sunrise at the white dunes is the classic excursion; your driver can make it happen without the jeep-tout theatre. Seafood on stilts at sunset closes the day properly.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the drive from Saigon to Mui Ne?
Four to five hours depending on traffic leaving the city, using the expressway for the first half. We include one comfort stop wherever you like.
Is a private car worth it versus the sleeper bus?
For two or more people, usually yes: door-to-door timing, real seats, secure luggage and no strip drop-offs at 3 a.m. The per-person difference is smaller than most expect.
Can you pick us up straight from SGN airport?
Yes — we track the flight, meet you inside arrivals and drive direct, which beats crossing Saigon to a bus office with luggage.
Can the driver take us to the sand dunes?
Yes — sunrise or sunset dune runs are easy to add, either priced in advance or as hourly hire while you are there.
Do you do Mui Ne to Da Lat or Nha Trang?
Both are classic onward routes (about 4 and 3.5 hours) — one fixed fare each, luggage handled.
